Our Victorian drama, An Ancient Evil has so far garnered three nominations on its circuit of the film festivals. The last of these was for Best Actress at the New York Film Festival.The Hands of Time is set in 1927 and follows the trials and tribulations of a Jewish family at a time when fascism was rife. Set in London and Manchester, the story is based upon real events. The film was screened at the Berlin Film Festival.
Our latest production, Black Inheritance, is now complete and will shortly be released upon the Film Festivals circuit. Set partially on a farm owned by Isaac Black, it follows events when Isaac dies. Who will inherit the family farm? The son who has tended the animals and farmland since a boy, or the one addicted to gambling and already in debt to people who are dangerous to know? Mix in an overseas bank account, a disgruntled farmhand and a girl friend who sees something she shouldn't. Things can only end in tragedy.
Just before the summer break, we were at work on our next production: a black satire concerning problems in the NHS. Its working title is Pain Relief. More details will follow in September when we resume. Watch this space.
